We are excited to announce that the upcoming meeting of the Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Collaborative will take place on December 11th at the AC-HIDTA Training Center located at 3587 Parkway Lane, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. The event will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a meet and greet, providing an excellent opportunity for networking and collaboration, and will conclude at 2:00 p.m. Attendees can look forward to a festive Working Holiday Celebration Lunch, and we are pleased to inform you that parking is complimentary in the lot behind the building.

This meeting promises to be highly engaging, featuring a dynamic agenda filled with valuable insights. We are honored to welcome two prominent figures in Georgia's prevention landscape. Jeff Breedlove, a dedicated advocate and expert in substance misuse policy, will share his experiences as a person in long-term recovery and his role as the Chief of Policy and Communications for the Georgia Council for Recovery. Additionally, we will hear from Veronica Dowell, a leader in the Partners In Prevention Project at Twin Cedars Youth & Family Services, Inc. Veronica will be accompanied by youth members from her Youth Advisory Team, "Teen On The MOVE" (Motivated, Organized, Vocal, Equipped). The agenda will also include a facilitated discussion focused on the Collaborative's FY2026 Action Plan, addressing key areas such as Prevention Education, Safe Storage, Secure Disposal, and Advocacy.
